The Western Australian State Government has released a ten year strategy to create an ‘age-friendly WA’.
The vision for the strategy is that Western Australian seniors should feel valued, safe, and empowered to lead happy and fulfilling lives in age-friendly communities.
There are four pillars to the strategy, aligned with the World Health Organisation domains of age-friendly cities:
- Thriving physically, mentally and spiritually
- Safe and age-friendly communities
- Staying connected and engaged
- Having views that are heard
TADWA exists to support Seniors in the strategy pillar of thriving physically, mentally and spiritually, helping them to live with maximum independence and dignity by providing home modifications and custom / customised equipment for safety and convenience. We also support them staying connected and engaged via mobility solutions and technology solutions such as GPS-enabled alarm pendants, VR Therapy, low cost computers and technical advice and support. Together, these products and services encourage more social participation and connection.
We look forward to contributing towards the government’s vision of an age-friendly WA.
