How to access our services
Flexible pathways. Clear steps. Support that fits your circumstances.
TADWA supports older Australians and people with disability to live safely, independently and with confidence at home. Whether you are accessing government-funded services or choosing to pay privately, there are straightforward ways to get started.
Private Funding
You can access TADWA services directly without a referral. This pathway suits people who:
- Prefer to commence services immediately
- Are awaiting funding approval
- Require services outside program eligibility
- Want assessments and quotes (e.g. home modifications or assistive technology)
- Need additional services not fully covered by funded programs
Private access also provides flexibility to trial services before committing to a funded pathway.
Through My Aged Care
If you are aged 65+ (or 50+ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people), you may be eligible for Australian Government aged care funding.
- Support at Home: Support at Home is the Australian Government’s in-home aged care program for older people who want to remain living independently at home. From 1 November 2025, Support at Home replaces Home Care Packages (HCP) and Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) nationally. The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) will transition no earlier than 1 July 2027.
- Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP): CHSP provides entry-level, occasional or short-term services for people who are largely independent but benefit from additional support to remain safe and connected at home.
How to begin:
- Contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or visit myagedcare.gov.au
- Request an in-home assessment
- Nominate TADWA as your preferred provider
- Once we receive your referral, our team will contact you to arrange your services
Already Have a Home Care Package?
If you already receive a Home Care Package, speak with your care provider or case manager about including TADWA in your care plan.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
TADWA is a registered NDIS provider.
If you are under 65 and living with a permanent and significant disability (or accessing early intervention supports), you may be eligible for NDIS funding. The NDIS enables you to choose services aligned to your goals and preferred providers.
You can check eligibility through the NDIA’s “Am I eligible?” guide.
Not Sure Which Pathway Is Right?
Choosing the right funding option can feel complex.
Our team can review your goals, circumstances and timelines, then guide you through the most suitable pathway — including referrals, assessments, prescriptions, quotations and installation where required.
