If your organisation provides care and support for others, TADWA may be able to assist you with customised assistive equipment, home modifications, home automation or monitoring technology, or specialised therapy services such as our unique Brain:Body Pain Solutions program.
Please contact us to discuss how we may be of service to you and your clients.
Important Information about My Aged Care Referrals:
TADWA is funded for two service types under CHSP;
- Home Modifications and
- Goods, Equipment and Assistive Technology.
To refer to TADWA, these are the service types you’d choose if you’re looking for us in the Service Finder in My Aged Care.
TADWA provides Occupational Therapy assessment for both Home Modification and Goods, Equipment and Assistive Technology to ensure that people receive the most appropriate service or equipment. We are able to include our assessment hours within the service model for the two funded service types, even though we are not currently specifically funded for allied health assessment under CHSP. This is exactly the same model we used under HACC.
In the past, you might refer a client to TADWA requesting “assessment for home modification and equipment”, or similar, and the client would receive the assessment and the home modification or equipment.
As of 1 July, to refer clients for Home Modifications or Goods, Equipment and Assistive Technology and their assessment, you will need to make a referral under either of those service types rather than the Allied Health service type to ensure the referral comes to us.
If you have any questions at all or we can help in any way, just give us a call on 1300 663 243 and we’ll be happy to help.
